mutual exclusion (الْمُزَاحَمَةُ)

التعريف :


That a situation admits only one of opposites, and the choice must be stated, as in the case of fasting at any time other than Ramadan: it can be compensation for a missed duty or voluntary. The two cannot be done simultaneously because they are opposites. This is different in the case of fasting in Ramadan when it is only a duty.

المعنى الاصطلاحي :


Pushing and shoving in some place.

التعريف اللغوي المختصر :


"Muzāhamah": annoying, mutual pushing. It is derived from "zahm" which means one thing joining another with force. "Zahmah": assembling, crowding, filling.
