المعنى الاصطلاحي :

The Muslims' overcoming of the disbelievers and their seizing of their lands.

التعريف اللغوي المختصر :

"‘Anwah": force, coercion. A land is said to be conquered "‘anwah" if it was vanquished by force. Other meanings: humiliation, submissiveness.
