المعنى الاصطلاحي :

The edge of the eyelid, on which eyelashes grow.

الشرح المختصر :

"Shafr-ul-‘ayn" (the edge of the eyelid) is the spot where the eyelashes grow on the eyelid. The common usage, that the "shafr" is the hair that grows on the eyelid, is incorrect.
