A number of the prophet’s companions who narrated more than one thousand hadiths each. They are: Abu Hurayrah (5,374 hadiths), ꜤAbdullāh ibn ꜤUmar (2,600 hadiths); Anas ibn Mālik (2,286 hadiths); ꜤĀʾishah bint Abu Bakr (2,210 hadiths); ꜤAbdullāh ibn ꜤAbbās (1,660 hadiths); Jābir ibn ꜤAbdullāh al-Anṣārī (1,540 hadiths) and Abu SaꜤīd al-Khudrī (1,170 hadiths).
