This is a sign, with the first of these two words placed at the beginning of a particular text and the second word at its end, so as to indicate that it is an addition or deleted. Justice ꜤĪyāḍ and Imam ibn al-Ṣalāḥ suggested using this sign especially in an additional text which is stated in one narration and dropped in another.
