The daily recommended prayers before and after the five obligatory prayers.

The confirmed Sunnah prayers which are performed before or after the obligatory prayers.
الشرح المختصر :
The "sunan rawaatib" (confirmed regular Sunnah prayers) are voluntary prayers that the Prophet, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him, observed regularly. They are recommended prayers that are offered a long with the obligatory prayers, either before or after them. They are twelve units of prayer in total: four before the Zhuhr (noon) prayer and two after, two before the Maghrib (sunset) prayer, two after the ‘Ishaa’ (night) prayer, and two before the Fajr (dawn) prayer.
