al-Bazzī’s initial t (تَاءَاتُ الْبَزِّي)

التعريف :

The case of the t sound that occurs at the beginning of a present tense verb, followed by another t which is not written. These occur in 31 cases in the Qur'an and al-Bazzī pronounces the two ts as assimilated, as in: walā ttayammamū (2: 267).
