التعريف :


The start of feeling sleepy. When one feels drowsy, he is not confused about most of what is being said around him.

المعنى الاصطلاحي :


The first stage of sleep, where the senses become weak and unaware of what is going on around them.

الشرح المختصر :


"Nu‘ās" (drowsiness) is the first stage of sleep. It is also known as "sinah", i.e. a state in which a person is in need of sleep, so his senses, like his hearing, sight and others, start to experience weakness in perceiving what is going on around them. For example, a drowsy person may hear what is being said by his companion but not understand it.

التعريف اللغوي المختصر :


"Nu‘ās": the beginning of sleep. It is called as such because the senses become weak and feeble in it. Original meaning: weakness, deficiency. Other meanings: a little amount of sleep.
