A brief look at how Sufism differs and contradicts the teachings of Islam.This research defines Sufism, mentions its origins and how it differs from Islam in the concept of belief in God, belief in the Prophet Muhammad ( peace be upon him) and belief in Heaven and Hell.It also shows some principles of Sufism, the role of the “Sheikh”, the Covenant, “Dhikr” and Sufism’s stance on the interpretation of the Quran; all of which strongly contradict the teachings of Islam.
